You also want to have a good amount of whole grains, as these can also help with your inflammation. This means ditching your white bread and bagels, and switching to whole grain varieties. Another herb to add to your regular diet is basil. This is so easy to add to juices, smoothies, and recipes, as it has a mild flavor and goes with just about anything. One of the best vegetables you can consume for overall health is your dark, leafy greens, such as romaine lettuce, spinach, and kale. These greens are nutritious, fight inflammation, and extremely low in fat and calories. Try making a green juice in the morning, having a nice salad at lunch, or add them to your egg scramble or omelet.
